Victoria Wood one day and Prince the next. Both of these awesome people remind me hugely of my childhood and early partying years in equal measure. In fact, I have been to more Prince concerts than any other band or performer.

For those interested, there’s a great article in the New York Times today about Prince. President Obama is quoted as saying: “Few artists have influenced the sound and trajectory of popular music more distinctly, or touched quite so many people with their talent.” He added, “He was a virtuoso instrumentalist, a brilliant bandleader, and an electrifying performer. ‘A strong spirit transcends rules,’ Prince once said — and nobody’s spirit was stronger, bolder, or more creative.”
