Mental and physical health are often considered separately. But there is a growing body of research that identifies these two kinds of health affect each other and we need to be considering them both with any health care issue.
Parity of esteem
There are also important issues of inequality with mental health often being less valued and considered less important than physical health within health care settings. This difference is called lack of ‘parity of esteem
